This young Wildcat ran with grit, speed, and heart ! He is proving the future of Winona cross country is looking FAST and FEARLESS. Jack showed true Wildcat toughness today, pushing through every stride and leaving it all out on the course. His determination is a glimpse of what’s coming ! The next wave of Wildcats are already on the hunt, and they’re hungry for more! Way to go, Jack!

Our varsity runners showed up and showed OUT today, proving that hard work pays off and the Wildcats are only getting stronger with every race! The Wildcats are building something special with every single race they run. Harper Lay powered her way to an 8th place finish! Leanna Chavez was right behind, crushing it with a 9th place finish and on the boys’ side, Channing Byrne charged through with a strong 12th place finish! Three Wildcats at the TOP ,that’s what happens when talent meets determination. Every stride is a step forward, and this crew is showing they’re ready to keep climbing higher. We are proud of these runners for leaving it all on the course and representing Winona with fire in their hearts!

Today, we observed Dot Day, a worldwide celebration of creativity, courage, and connection, inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' book, "The Dot." This occasion encourages people of all ages to make their mark and express themselves through diverse creative acts. We conducted a fun competition among elementary classes, monitoring the participation rates of students wearing dots. The class with the highest percentage of participants would win an ice cream party. The Dot Day results are in, and the top three classes are: 3rd place - Ms. Womack with 67%, 2nd place - Mrs. Danielle with 70%, and 1st place - Mrs. Abby with 74%. We appreciate the participation of all students in this year's celebration. It was a pleasure to see the various dots on display. Remember, making your mark can lead to new and exciting opportunities.

Today, we received notice that some students of the District allegedly made comments about bringing firearms to school. In response to these reports, we immediately contacted law enforcement and the juvenile office to report to the school to address these concerns. No weapons were present on campus today nor were any students or staff in danger. While we cannot comment about individual student disciplinary matters, discussion about firearms and school property is never acceptable and violates the District’s discipline code. As such, we are taking this concern seriously and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement, and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of students and staff.

September 15 is Dot Day
🏐 Our Senior Taylor Williams, aka Willy, was congratulated on her outstanding achievement of a 1000 digs and her 1000 kills this past week at last night's game! She was presented with this golden volleyball by her coaches last night. 💛💜

Mrs. Stacy's class did the baking soda and vinegar balloon experiment that works by triggering a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide gas. Baking soda is a base, and vinegar is an acid; when they combine, they create a chemical reaction that generates carbon dioxide gas, which expands and inflates the balloon
