
Thank you to Twin Pines and the Dickerson Park Zoo for bringing Owl-O-Ween to us this year. PreK thru 2nd grade got to view four different kinds of Owls. The screech owl, the barn owl, the bar owl, and the great horned owl.

Kindness Club members agreed you’re are never to old to enjoy a little bit of candy, so we put together Halloween ‘treat bags’ to deliver to Winona Senior Center. We also colored cards to send with their treats.








High school volleyball districts start Tuesday, October 22. Your Lady Wildcats will play October 24 at 6 PM versus the winner of the Couch vs. Bakersfield game. 6 PM 6 PM at Eminence.

It's that time of year again! Help us to put smiles on the faces of over 100 children again this year on Christmas morning...


Friday October 18th will be Parent/Teacher Conference day. Please contact the appropriate office to schedule a meeting with your students teachers.


A big thank you to the Winona High School Admin. and school board for making it possible to put up our “Winona Wildcat All-State Athletes” banner. Also a big thank you to Mrs. Whitney Thacker for putting in the time and tracking down each athlete that deserved to be recognized.


The elementary Kindness Club is currently hosting a food drive.


Our 3rd-grade classes engaged in a book tasting event last Friday discovering different genres of books. Donuts and juice complemented the experience perfectly! Students enjoyed sampling various books while savoring treats. Many discovered new preferred genres and are now enthusiastic about reading more. The teacher effectively utilized this opportunity as well. Later that afternoon, they had a paper airplane competition.









5th grade has been working on understanding dominant vs recessive traits. They “inherited” various traits they had to draw, then partnered up and used Punnett squares to determine likely traits of the offspring.









Oct. 7th High school Baseball wins in the 1st round of conference play. They defeated Dora and move on to play October 8th @ 4:00 . Who they are playing is yet to be determined.
Great job Wildcats.


Although Johnny Appleseed Day took place last week, the second-grade class opted to postpone their apple-themed activities until Friday for a hands-on learning experience.







Last week, Mrs. Stacy's first-grade students participated in an artistic project, converting leftover broccoli into colorful fall tree paintings to complement the elementary school's hallway decorations.
