Recently, sixth-grade students examined the distinctions between plant and animal cells through a collaborative hands-on activity, allowing them to accurately identify the differences between these two cell types.











While engaging in a whole-group reading activity, Mrs. Spurgin's 3rd-grade students enjoyed the fall-like weather during their afternoon snack time.

The city has opened up the land BEHIND the restaurant for parking.


The varsity baseball team achieved a 7-2 victory over Naylor today and will be playing at home on Monday.









First Grade Friday Science Experiment!
Add food coloring to milk then put a dab of dish soap in the middle. When liquid dish soap is added to milk with drops of food coloring on the surface, the soap reduces the surface tension of the milk and reacts with the fat. This interaction causes the fat particles in the milk to move and create swirls of color.









Congratulations to the Jr. High Cross Country team for their 1st place finish at the 6th Annual Run with the Elk meet, held at Peck Ranch. Great job runners.

5th Grade is learning about cells and body systems. Today, they reviewed the 4 parts of blood by making a model. We love getting to do Hands-On Learning with our students!











September 5th is School Picture Day!!!Senior Composite pictures, and Senior Individual and group sports banners will be taken on, Thursday, 5th. Vo-tech students get your picture taken before you leave that day.. Senior Athletes remember your uniforms and appropriate shoes.

Verona Invitational Volleyball Tournament August 31st. 2024


Winona Elementary: Elementary Cross Country practice will be starting tomorrow and Thursday afterschool. Practice will last till approximately 4:10 PM. Practice starting next week will be on Monday and Tuesday the rest of the season.

Our school staff has been actively engaged in preparation for the 2024-2025 school year, with teachers attending meetings and training sessions to refine policies and practices. Our team is looking forward to the upcoming academic year.
