Mrs. Stacy's class did the baking soda and vinegar balloon experiment that works by triggering a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide gas. Baking soda is a base, and vinegar is an acid; when they combine, they create a chemical reaction that generates carbon dioxide gas, which expands and inflates the balloon

**Senior Spotlight: Sophie LuDene Kile**

Sophie LuDene Kile, daughter of Matt and Meagan Kile and sister to Sadie, is a student who enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family at the river. She is also an active participant in the school's volleyball team. Reflecting on her high school experience, Sophie's most cherished memory is winning the quarter finals on her home court. She identifies Mrs. Ipock as her favorite teacher, citing her encouragement and willingness to provide support is why. A key lesson Sophie has learned is the importance of kindness, recognizing that individuals may be facing unseen challenges. She anticipates missing playing volleyball with her friends the most when asked about what she'll miss about school.

Sophie’s favorite movie is Eight Seconds, her favorite meal is Chicken Alfredo, and favorite subject is English. Her future plans are to attend college to become a veterinarian  and her plan for her senior year is to win state again! Sophie would like to be remembered as being a kind friend.

Sophie’s farewell message to her underclassmen is to take your ACT as many times as you can. When Sophie was asked about the people who influenced her the most, she said her parents. They have always supported everything she did, and they let her make adult decisions, and they work super hard so she can have nice things. Some fun facts about our Sophie are that if she had one meal for the rest of her life, it would be a grilled cheese sandwich with homemade fries. Something few know about her is that she likes to go on walks with her mom and their dog, Josephine, and she wants to go to Montana and Wyoming. The last book Sophie read was The Great Gatsby and it was for her English class.

We extend our best wishes to Sophie for her future endeavors and hope she utilizes the knowledge and experiences gained during her time here.

Mrs. Stacy’s class did a science experiment Friday. Add food coloring to milk then put a dab of dish soap in the middle. When liquid dish soap is added to milk with drops of food coloring on the surface, the soap reduces the surface tension of the milk and reacts with the fat. This interaction causes the fat particles in the milk to move and create swirls of color. Hayden was visiting us and also joined in our experiment.

Our community truly showed up in support of our baseball team yesterday! Thanks to the generosity of families, friends, and local supporters, the team received 240 bottles of water and 171 bottles of Powerade and Gatorade to help keep our athletes hydrated throughout the season. In addition, many graciously gave monetary donations, further strengthening the resources available to our players. This outpouring of support not only provides the essentials our team needs but also reminds our players that they are surrounded by a community that believes in them. We are grateful for every contribution and for the continued encouragement as the team works hard both on and off the field!

Kindly ensure that all forms are completed and returned to Mrs. Sue's basket. Several folders have been submitted this week, but they are due back by Monday! These were handed out within homerooms, ensuring each student received a copy. Seniors were provided with a SENIOR SPOTLIGHT along with their forms this year. Please be sure to complete those and return them to Mrs. Kyle or Mrs. Cox, including a picture, so that we may share them with local newspapers and on our social media platforms. #wildcatfamily #wearehereforyou #gowildcats
