Samantha Hodges visited our elementary classes in honor of Constitution Week. We appreciate Mrs. Hodges allowing our students to incorporate history engagingly at each grade level. The Daughters of the American Revolution started this celebration of the Constitution. In 1955, DAR petitioned Congress to set aside September 17-23 annually to be dedicated to Constitution Week. The resolution was later adopted by the U.S. Congress and signed into public law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on August 2, 1956.
