Kaiden VanWinkle

Winona Wildcats knocked in 7 runs in the 3rd inning on its way to and 11-1 victory over Eminence Redwings on Monday, April 19th.   Winona  Wildcats batters contributing to the big inning included Tanner Kalman, Kaiden VanWinkle, McCade Dixon and Tyler Russell, all driving in runs in the frame.

The Wildcats opened up scoring in the 1st inning.  Zach Pulliam's sacrifice fly scored one run for the Wildcats. 

Winona put up seven runs in the 3rd inning.  Kalman, VanWinkle, Dixon and Russell each drove in runs during the inning. 

Jaden Thacker got the win for Winona.  The right hander allowed 5 hits and 1 run over six innings.  Striking out 15!  

Isiah Taylor took the loss for Eminence.  Taylor lasted four innings, allowing 11 hits and ten runs while striking out four and walking 1.  

Winona Wildcats collected 13 hits on the day.  Thacker, Dixon, Blaine Cooper and Russell each had multiple hits for Winona.  Thacker went 3  for 3 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits.   The Wildcats were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.  VanWinkle made the most plays  with 15.  Landon Johnson led the Redwings with 2 hits with 2 in 2 at bats.
