The Winona Beta Club spent three days competing in the Missouri Senior State Beta Convention in Branson, Missouri.
Our club trading pin placed 4th and will advance to Nationals.
We had students place in 4 events. Stetson Haynes 3rd place in 9th grade Health and Physical Education; Ella Black 5th place in Division I Digital Art; James Austin 4th place in Division I Woodworking, and Taylor Williams 5th place in Onsite Cake Decorating Division II. Additionally, Audrey Beverage was awarded as a Premier Performer and was given a Golden Ticket to perform in the opening ceremonies at the National Convention this summer in Nashville.
In September, 5 students, Taylor Williams, Kylie Williams, Drew Miley, Brysen Mays, and Jillian Plunk, attended Leadership Conference in Cape Girardeau. These students qualified to compete in Nationals in Collaboration Connection, Project Proposal, All the World is a Stage, Being Better Betas:Ethical Decision Making, and Beta Blitz.
All 9 of these students will now take their projects and talents to National Convention in Nashville, TN this summer to compete with students from all across the United States. We are so proud of them!
