3rd grade

In Mrs Spurgins third-grade classroom, math isn’t just numbers on a page—it’s a full-blown musical performance.

Students were seen clapping, swaying, and belting out a new classroom hit: the Rounding Rap. Designed to help students master the tricky concept of rounding numbers, the song has become an unexpected sensation among both students and staff.

🎵 “Find the place, then look next door—
Five or more? Add one more!
Four or less? Just let it rest.
That’s how you round, now you’re the best!”
🎵

This is what learning should look like-fun, memorable and meaningful. It is about turning obstacles into opportunities for creativity. It does not have to be fancy. Kids just need a beat and a reason to sing. If they can remember a song lyric, they can remember a math rule.
